Sharing cultural facts in our projects
In order to reflect and share our points of view about the cultural facts that have been discussed in our projects, students in the group are going to write in this Padlet collaborative board.
They will write about what they have learnt as well as about the similarities and differences they find with our own culture or other cultures they know.
The objective of this collaborative board is promoting cultural awareness among students and arising respect and understanding of how a person's culture may inform their values, behaviour, beliefs and basic assumptions.
Cultural awareness recognises that we are all shaped by our cultural background, which influences how we interpret the world around us, perceive ourselves and relate to other people. You don't need to be an expert in every culture or have all the answers to be culturally aware; rather, cultural awareness helps you to explore cultural issues with your care recipients more sensitively.
